When Blake Shelton isn’t serving as a judge on the hit TV show “The Voice,” he prefers to spend time outdoors.
So when he was invited to host a group of young adopters, he couldn’t wait to tell them about one of his all-time hobbies.
A group of young foster parents was invited to fish on one of his farms in Oklahoma by the 10-time country music award winner.Shelton, an Oklahoma native and one of the few country music singers who doesn’t live in Nashville, owns several homes in the Sooner State.
He taught them to fish and stuff their catch with the help of volunteers, and ended the day with a huge fry.
Blake talks about his love for wildlife conservation in a recent issue of Call of the Outdoors, a hobby he pursues as head of the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.
Blake is reportedly spending more time in Oklahoma with his partner Gwen Stefani and their three children. He would normally be in Los Angeles filming The Voice, but due to the COVID restrictions at the time he would be filming from home.
Blake owns at least two homes in Oklahoma and has expanded his real estate footprint with Gwen to include a property on Lake Texoma, Oklahoma, complete with a pool, tiki bar and palm trees.
I hope this foster mother will experience many interesting excursions; they deserve satisfaction; thank you Blake Shelton!
Fostering Outdoor Oklahoma Families has partnered with the foundation to bring foster children and their families outdoors.
Wildlife officials said they are grateful to Blake for taking the time to engage with their state’s youth, teaching them what Oklahoma is all about in the wild.
The Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation provided all the gear and the kids were able to take it all with them so they could continue fishing.
